Hannah's milestone

She rolls over! And I might add, she does it much faster now than in this video. So cute! BTW, Natalie is saying "take picture" in the background in case you're wondering.

The mission call

Devin is going to Detroit, Michigan on his mission! He leaves May 27th for the MTC in Provo, UT. He will be serving for two years as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. We are so excited for him!

Recent stuff

My twinners. The first time they have dressed alike. You can't see it, but Natalie's shirt says "I'm the big sister" and Hannah's says "I'm the little sister."
What I found when I investigated the sudden quietness.

My green dinner for St. Paddy's day. The recipe on the left is from Giada on the Food Network. Delicious, healthy, and fast. I recommend it. I happened to use green noodles for the occasion.
My little virtuoso.
I dyed some pasta noodles to play with. She liked putting these large green ones on her fingers and gluing the others to paper. Sorting would also be a good activity with these, but she has little interest in sorting. Just put the dry noodles in a baggie with some food coloring (I used the regular grocery store stuff) and rubbing alcohol and mix it around every so often. It took about a day for these to be dyed to this intensity. Fun and cheap craft!
Natalie and Brooklyn love to play in the sink. It gets them soaking wet though which is why they are only in their diapers.
There. I think I'm caught up. See more posts below!

Motivation to practice

A couple of weeks ago I went to see James Galway in concert. He is an internationally renowned flutist who is known as "The Man with the Golden Flute." It was amazing, let me tell you. I was re-inspired to practice as well as reminded that I did indeed choose the best instrument out there!

Hannah is growing

Here are some recent pics of Hannah. As you can see, she is growing out of newborn-land!

Our little D-backs fan!

Her feet are her new favorite toys.

Ever wonder...

...what the world looks like from the point of view of a toddler? Well, now you know.

Learning about the world

A conversation I had with Natalie today:

N: Mommy, come sit down. Natalie be your teacher.
Me: [sitting down] What are you going to teach me?
N: About being in the world.
Me: Ok, teach me about being in the world.
N: First, you wake up.
Me: Ok, then what?
N: Then you go to the moon.
Me: The moon? Then what?
N: Then you find Santa Claus!

How 'bout a song?

Here is Natalie singing the ABC's. She sings them all day long at the top of her lungs, just like in this movie. I don't think I'll ever get tired of hearing that cute little voice! This is how I know she's awake--she starts singing this song. So cute.

A fun place

A couple of weeks ago we heard the the Children's Museum of Phoenix was having a free admission day so Shamrock Farms could promote a new children's milk product. We jumped at the opportunity and had a FUN time. It was awesome, even for me! Natalie had such a blast. Here are some pics:

The pretend kitchen. Here Natalie is making a pancake. She said, "mommy, it's really HOT!"

Fake water. It's made of a bunch of ball-chain things.

A supermarket. This was so cute. We could have spent HOURS in here, except that it was so crowded and all the kids were waiting for a turn with a shopping cart.

Now she's a checker.

Don't you wish there was something like this to play with when you were a kid?

And my personal favorite (as you can tell from the look on my face) was this sea of pool noodles. Here we are pretending we're Nemo and his dad going in and out of the anemone. It was fun until Natalie got plowed over by a running big kid. Can't even see anyone in there until you are right next to them. It was still so fun!

This was the toddler room, complete with baby dolls to play with.

Hannah had a great time with Grandma Barnes. She came along to help, since Mark was at home studying as usual. It was so nice to not worry about two kids! Hannah even fell asleep and had a nice long nap in Grandma's arms. Thanks mom!

Elmo and Grover were there too. Natalie was too terrified to get close, so we just waved and took pictures from afar.
We will totally go there again! Probably on a weekday in the morning so it's not as crowded. It was so cute and clever on all aspects.

A face that will brighten your day

It occured to me that I don't really have any smiling pictures of Hannah. So here are a couple!
