Item on my wish list

I found this adorable diaper bag on this website. I am bored of my boring old black diaper bag which we bought thinking Mark wouldn't want a girlie one if he were out and about with Natalie by himself. Well, he's never really been out with her by himself, plus the black one has a tear so I feel justified in getting a new one. I think this is the one I want!

Does anyone have....

We decided Natalie is going to be a fairy for Halloween, and we are in need of a leotard. Does anyone have an extra one that we could borrow? She wears size 2T if anybody has something close to that. I'm hoping we can find a pink one but white or black could work too.

Thanks!

Fall does exist...

Happy first day of Fall a few days late, even if it is still hot outside.

My goal

This is the camera I'm saving my lesson money for. It's a Canon Rebel xti. I think I might be able to buy it before the new baby. Wish me luck!

30 weeks

This pregnancy is flying by. It's probably because I'm so occupied with Natalie that I don't time to sit and wonder about the new baby for hours on end, perusing endless baby/maternity/pregnancy websites, reading all the expert advice on every possible baby care subject, etc. It's great though. So weird to think that the next time I post a pic I will be 35 weeks! People have started asking me ALL the time when I'm due, and today someone in church estimated that I was going to have a baby in October. I just have a short torso, people! I think it's funny, but seriously the baby has no where to go but outwards.

For journaling purposes: I feel great, in fact this is probably the trimester where I feel the best so far, ironically. I am getting uncomfortable when I have to roll over at night and I'm getting up to go to the bathroom at least once a night, but really I have no complaints. My headaches are few and far between now, and my tailbone pain is all but vanished. I have minimal swelling in my feet and hands at night, nothing like my elephant legs in my first pregnancy. I have been taking a daily nap when Natalie goes down which is helping with my energy level and moodiness.

AND, I went to JoAnn's to try and find some cute fabric that my friend Bre found to make a nursing cover and found THIS instead. I love love love it, and it will be my nursing cover for this baby. I can't wait to start nursing with it! I put my phone on it so you can get an idea of how big the flowers are.

Thanks for reading!!

Small town bliss

Natalie and I got back from spending 4 days in Snowflake, AZ. We hitched a ride with Mark's 2 aunts, cousin Karlie and her baby/toddler Brig. It was SO fun. The weather was gorgeous, and it was so nice to not have to worry about normal life for a few days. It was great therapy to get away. Here are some pictures of the grand adventures we had.

We went to see this cow every day. It's name is Pot Roast...and we didn't see it the last 2 days. I wonder where it went... It was the highlight of Natalie's trip, for sure. Even better when it moo'd really loud at her. She loved it.
We made a trip to the Walmart 1/2 hour away and Natalie wanted to be like Daddy and wear a backpack. So cute.
Picking dandelions.

Natalie and Brig chasing bubbles, an activity we did a few times each day.
This is the swing Natalie loved. We did this a lot too. The weather was so perfect. We spent almost all day outside.
We got in a tree. Don't worry, I'm standing on the ground.
She discovered the art of putting olives on her fingers and eating them. She thought this was so funny.
Riding a horse toy thing. Karlie and Brig are in the background. I think this is probably the best picture I got of Natalie. She looks so cute! And really blonde too...I still don't really think of her as a blonde, but people lately have started to call her that.
Anyway, it was so fun and I'm really glad we went. TTFN!

It will happen...

Ok. I think my hopes are finally awakened that it might cool down this year. Today it was only 102 outside. It has been so "cool" that Natalie and I actually spend time daily in the backyard playing on the slide (ok, well I sit on a lawn chair) and we even went to the park. Today when we went outside to get Mark from the bus at 5:30pm it was probably a bit under 100 and Natalie said, "brrrrr!" It was hilarious.

I thought this was fun

I saw this on Joy's website (Mark's cousin) and had to try it. I was especially curious given that we've already had one daughter so far, to see if it looked anything like her. Nope! In fact, I think this particular face looks a little weird. :-) It was still entertaining! And no, I don't have a name to announce yet. Most likely it will be after she's born, once we've seen what she looks like.

What do you think about my little new baby Baby?

A little surprise

Today Natalie and I went to the ward playgroup at a neighbor's swimming pool. We had great fun, and after we came home, I took off her suit and swim diaper to get her dressed. She immediately took off running around the house which I let her do, mostly so she could get all dry. I kept calling her to come in and get her clothes on, but she just giggled hysterically and ran away again. I am a third tri preggo lady, and I just don't have the stinkin' energy to run through the house after my toddler. So I kept sitting on the family room floor, just waiting for her to come to me obediently to be dressed. ha!

Next thing I knew, I heard her say, "uh-oh." I heaved myself and my large midsection off the floor and waddled into the kitchen where she was sorta squatting next to a chair. This, by the way, is the time of day she usually poops. So I figured she's about to poop, so we rushed into the bathroom where she sat on the toilet for a while. She asked for a book, so I got two and sat on the extremely hard and uncomfortable edge of the tub while we look at each picture in great detail (why did I have to choose long books?). Then she wadded up several pieces of toilet paper and wiped several times. Then we flushed and washed hands. We went out to the kitchen and my ultra sensitive preggo olfactory glands told me that I may have been mistaken about the timing of the poop. Sure enough, I spotted the lovely little surprise on the floor over by the garbage can. Ew!

So after we cleaned it up (I'll spare you the details) I went back to get her clothes and called her again to please come and get dressed. She ran away again, but stopped halfway down the hall. At this point, I heard the unmistakable sound of fluid hitting the tile floor. I turned to look, hoping it wasn't what I thought it was....yep, she peed on the floor. AHHHH! Why couldn't she have done this at the toilet? I said, "stay there!" while I grabbed some paper towels...yeah right. She took off running through the puddle, down the rest of the hall and onto the living room carpet. So I had to clean the puddle AND several toddler sized footprints and then wipe HER down once I caught up. My dear mother finally came in to pin her down while I got her dressed.

And I wonder why I'm exhausted and ready for bed at 8pm! Yawn. Goodnight.

PS Her hives are gone. Finally!

Natalie's hives update

Well, the hives are almost gone. She has a few mosquito bite sized spots here and there, but that's about it. We have been relying on benadryl and hydro-cortisone cream and it seems we're about done. As to WHY she got the hives--we don't really know. She didn't eat anything unusual or take any new medicines...in fact she didn't have any medicine in at least a week before the break out. We did have some ants in our kitchen right after that big rainstorm so we sprayed Raid to get rid of them. We're thinking either she got an ant bite and it caused an allergic reaction or she didn't fare too well to Raid. Yesterday I scrubbed down the kitchen to make sure there wasn't any trace of ants or ant killer so that's out of the picture in case it's what caused it.

I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens in her life the next time she gets hives (hopefully not ever!) and see if there are any similarities.
