Another song

Some recent Natalie-isms

Well now that my child can talk, we are a lot more entertained by Natalie than before (is that possible?). Here are some recent sayings. They are usually funny because they sound so adult-like coming from a small child it just doesn't match up right!

[said while I was using the restroom and Hannah was playing in the bedroom] "Hannah's having some trouble playing with that toy. I go check on her and then I'll come back in here."

[at dinner] "What a yummy dinner this is!"

[same dinner looking out the window] "What a beautiful day it is outside!"

[looking at the cover of a child development book which shows naked babies from the back] "This baby has a really nice bum."

[while eating a Peep at Easter after eating all the sugar part off] "Now I'm eating the part that's soft and comfy."

Great news!

This is a little late but my sister Melanie had her baby on Wednesday! Her name is Chloe Mae Collette and she was 6 lbs 3 oz. She was born two weeks early via c-section due to a cord issue but is now doing great! Mel and baby are at home now and working on adjusting to new motherhood all over again.

She's so beautiful! Congratulations Melanie!

Why I love having a toddler

Today Natalie and I were swimming while Hannah was sleeping. She was in the water in front of me and I was looking down at her, laughing about something. Then she said, "Your chin looks funny!" I said, "What do you mean?"
And she poked my lovely second chin.
I think it's time to get back to the gym.
Mark's last final is today so I will officially start my new workout regimen tonight.
Good-bye baby fat!

My little squish

I just can't resist this little face.

She's such a good sport to put up with this every day. Such is the life of a younger sibling.

Hannah's adventure

Yesterday I woke up to the sound of Hannah screaming. She had been sleeping in my bed and rolled off the edge. I felt so bad! I have since purchased a bed railing for the edge since it will still be a while before she successfully sleeps through the night in her own bed (she starts out there though). Anyway, I called the pediatrician nurse on call and she recommended taking her to the ER since she's so young and it was a head injury. So I went and she's fine. They made us wait an hour or so to make sure she acted normally (at first she was really pale and sweaty and was crying A LOT). She was back to her normal self right away and we were able to go home. She acted like herself all day and seemed to have no side effects. She has a bruise on her forehead that came from bonking the night stand. I tried to capture it in these photos. It's above her right eye. We're so grateful she's ok!

Here you can see her two little teeth that came through recently.

Watch out! Big sister attack!
I'm excited to edit this fresh batch of Hannah pics. I need to take more really. Poor little gal.
TTFN!
