Relaxing music

I'm trying to compile some relaxing music to listen to during labor. I have a few things, but not as much as I would like. I wanted to get some input from my lovely readers! What do you listen to to relax? Anything can go!

Cute blog! I was looking at your earlier posts and I have some good OB recommendations who support natural child birth. Let me know for the future if you don't have a good experience with your current doctor.

Enya. It's all about Enya.

Whenever I have to have an MRI, they play Enya. Supposedly its supposed to be really relaxing but I still have panic attacks whenever I hear it. It might work for you though.

I listened to the sound of my body being pumped with the drugs in my epidural. It TOTALLY relaxed me...

Led Zeppelin, Hoobastank, and Elvis. Soooo just kidding. :) How do you feel about Disney sound tracks. I think that would be a good distraction.

I bought this CD of lullabyes that's all instrumental with piano, flute and violin. That's what I listened to when I was having Christine, plus I used it in the wee hours of the morning in the hospital when she wouldn't sleep. Later on when I played it for her when she had colick, it was one of the very few things that calmed her down. It's like she remembered it from her birth day. Anyway I took that and instrumental church music (no words). I thought about the lyrics that would go with the song and sang them in my head, which helped me concentrate on something other than contractions. Good luck with your music selection!

I agree with lullabyes or kids songs...I always have those in my head! You could sing along to keep your mind of all the horrible pain!
